The Story Behind The Flame
My name is Khesahn Reid, and I am the founder, owner and chef at Flame On Vegan in Springfield, Massachusetts. Also known as Chef Flame.
Growing up in Springfield Mass, I enjoyed all kinds of food. Soul food, Spanish, Italian, Jamaican, you name it. However, I started realizing how many people I'm close to who have health issues, so I started researching how to prevent and even help treat illnesses — and learned one of the biggest factors is food!
The stigma around eating vegan is that you have to sacrifice flavor for health and can't eat the dishes you grew up loving, but here at Flame On Vegan, you name it, we flame it.
I took all the meals I and others in the community grew up loving and made them into delicious vegan dishes. You won't be able to tell the difference! It will feel like you're indulging in a guilty pleasure when in fact, we use nothing but high quality organic vegan ingredients.
Whether you're vegan or a meat eater, come on down because you won't believe your taste buds.
We're located at 1244 Main Street, Springfield, MA 01103 — Downtown Springfield across from the MassMutual Center, next door to MGM Casino and the Basketball Hall of Fame.
